Our Current Situation

Al-Bayaan has been operating all of its services at the Dome since 2016. The contract with QCCA allowed Al-Bayaan to have complete exclusivity over the weekend hire, allowing Al-Bayaan to host various activities, from the Madrasah to community events.

As of April 2022, Al-Bayaan no longer has that complete exclusivity over the weekend hire. Al-Bayaan continues to hire the Dome as a client of QCCA on the weekend to continue Al-Bayaan Madrasah.

QCCA has fully supported Al-Bayaan since its inception in 2008 and continues to offer advice and guidance. Al-Bayaan understands that The Dome has growing costs and the future of the Dome relies upon its users and the community working towards a long-term solution.

Al-Bayaan has taken on this challenge and faces it with optimism about the future. The Dome is no longer sustainable for Al-Bayaan as we have outgrown the Dome and are working extremely hard to purchase a building we have identified and fit for our purpose to host various activities.

Al-Bayaan will continue to hire the Dome for the weekend Madrasah, Eid prayers and Taraweeh prayers. The Dome will continue to operate as normal; QCCA has a 15 years lease and intends to work with the council to build a new purpose-built youth centre with a sports hall and space for other community groups.

Al-Bayaan will like to clarify any confusion or misunderstanding about The Dome and QCCA's position. QCCA is committed to supporting grass-root communities such as Al-Bayaan, and we appreciate their efforts.

Message from Founder

Asalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barkaatuh

After returning home from my studies in Egypt, I saw that there was a real need for children to be educated in a loving and nurturing environment, where they could grow spiritually and confidently. This sparked a real desire to bring about change and build the foundations for our children to have a brighter future. Al-Bayaan was then founded upon that desire.

The word Al-Bayaan means to propagate and clarify with wisdom. As Allah the Most High mentions “He taught him eloquent speech” (55/4). By this, we endeavour in propagating the Speech of Allah with eloquence.

Educating children upon the Quran and Sunnah, teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Students are taught Islamic Studies and Qur’an. Tarbiyyah (nurturing of the heart and connecting it with its Creator) is at the core of our teachings.

We began our journey in a small community centre in Camden and now the largest and most established weekend Madrasah in Camden. Students are taught to understand and embody values in speech and action.

Al-Bayaan is more than just a madrasah, it is the hub of the community, known for its diversity, equality and inclusion. I'm optimistic about the future of Al-Bayaan - Centre of Excellence.

We look forward to your support and we pray that Allah grants you  the reward of this Sadaqah Jaariyyah (ongoing charity).
